Jason Wu's collection for spring/summer 2013 is inspired by the provocative photographies by renowned photographer Helmut Newton and the elegant femininity of photographs by Lillian Bassman. Wu presented this spring a collection that is full of contrasts and has a certain tension between strength and tenderness, combines sensuality and soft forms. Mixing textures like black leather and lace, chiffon and stunning corsets, the use of delicate fabrics makes this collection very unique. Jason Wu plays with the contradictions of the female sex, while maintaining balance and elegance is expressed in his style with an intense power of seduction. With short skirts and even shorts in black, white, nude, navy blue and fuchsia, he conjured slim sexy lines and contrast rich materials for themselves. Black leather sheath dresses with chantilly lace and black leather skirts with macrame. Short skirts in nude leather combined with black lace bustier tops. The crocodile leather materials combined with printed chiffon skirts, corset dresses with lace inserts and transparent skirts bring a touch of modern femininity and strong expression to his collection. Patent leather accessories, sandals with stiletto heels and metal ankle cuffs complement the expressive look. Thank God I was able to purchase last winter a few similar pieces, I really love this look.
