Karl Lagerfeld: Steal His Style And How to Feminize His LookDienstag, Oktober 02, 2012
Karl Lagerfeld is an amazing German designer who has worked for and with the most amazing fashion houses so far. For example in 1983 he became artistic director at Chanel where he was chief designer of the collection in 1984, and particularly the ready-to-wear division. Lagerfeld helped with the sometimes unconventional interpretations to relive the legacy of Coco Chanel, who was then offering a little bit of outdated fashion for older ladies. He helped the house definitely back to their former glory and made a major contribution through the development of collections, that Chanel today has become the trend-top brand in the high-priced young women's fashion.
In November 2004, Lagerfeld attracted by its association with the Swedish discount fashion chain Hennes & Mauritz (H & M) a lot of stir in the fashion industry, for which he designed an affordable fashion collection with 20 items for women and ten for men and a perfume called Liquid Karl. Lagerfeld was H & M's first design partner and many other designers followed him until today. His own brand is available for a while on his website here.
